What a morning! I have been very surprised with the times from the first two stages this morning, fastest on stage 1 by 22 seconds from Craig Breen and then we posted fastest time on stage two - 12.7 up on Breen. That means after two stages we have an overall lead of 34.9 seconds from Craig Breen who is in second. I am really pleased at how we are going so far, the TEG prepared Pirelli Impreza is handling well and we are being very neat and tidy. I felt I was braking a bit too early for some of the corners, so I could push harder if I need to, but I am quite happy with the times that we are setting at present. The stages have been quite slippy in places as there is quite a bit of mud in some parts and being neat and tidy was important. It is a good time gap at present but I have to keep the concentration levels up as there is a long way to go and anything can happen in rallying. Thank you for all the support I have been receiving, it means a lot. I will try and blog later... Remember, keep the race in its place and I'll see you on the stages! Keith |
