The serious business begins this weekend. We will be competing in the Bulldog International Rally, which is the first round the British Rally Championship, and everything we have been doing so far this year has been in preparation for this Championship. We will be running number 2 on the road behind Mark Higgins. It is going to be a very tough rally because as well as Mark, who is a triple British Champion, there are a lot of other very quick drivers behind us. We will be hoping for a good result as it is always important to get points on the board early in the year. I will be trying to drive at a fast pace without taking any risks, but if I find myself in a position where I will be able to win the rally then I will push for the win. I will be thinking of scoring points from the start, though, because I think it is more important for me to score some good points in the earlier rounds. I don’t know that much about the event except that it is in Bala, Wales. I did the National Bulldog Rally last year, which should give me a bit of an idea of what the stages will be like, but as far as I know we won’t be doing the exact same stages. I will update ye all again after the event. |
